Sugar Glider Sugar Bear Pros and Cons 5

Sugar glider sugar bears, like any other pet, is not for everyone. If you are an animal lover, you will absolutely love them and not, they are terrible pets for you. They are very playful, requiring time and attention from the owner. They love to spend time with their owner, like sleeping in their pockets, so they are ideal for people who live by themselves. The flip side to this is that you must spend quality time with your pet; otherwise it will get dull and depressed.

They are not any easier or harder to maintain than any household pet, but sugar glider sugar bears are extremely low maintenance. They don’t bite unless they feel threatened or scared. Even if they do occasionally bite, it is nothing more than a hard pinch, since their teeth are not designed for a hard bite like a hamster or gerbil. Sugar glider sugar bears cannot be trained to use a litter box, but being extremely intelligent animals, their behavior can be predicted and their body language understood to make sure that you can go around with them all day without any accidents.

75% pellet food and 25% fresh fruits and vegetables with multivitamin sprinkled on top is the ideal balanced for these pets. This is extremely cheap, costing you about $10 a month for a healthy sugar glider sugar bear. Their odor depends on what you feed them, and neutered males fed a balanced diet smell just like puppies. However, unneutered males emit a strong odor to mark their territory and excessive proteins, meat and live foods such as mealworms and crickets make them smell strongly.

From an owner’s point of view, sugar glider sugar bears are very much like dogs. They are intelligent animals and perform interesting tricks, they require constant love and affection and love to spend time with their owners and they live for 12-15 years.
